  1. i got to play janet in rocky horror 2 years ago! so fun!!!

My fave quote from clue: Mrs Peacock “Well, someone’s got to break the ice and it might as well be me, I mean, I’m used to being a hostess, it’s part of my husband’s work and it’s always difficult when a group of new friends meet together for the first time to get aquatinted, though I’m perfectly prepared to start the ball rolling, I mean, I, I have absolutely no idea what we’re doing here or what I’m doing here or what this place is about, but I am determined to enjoy myself, and very intrigued, and oh my this soup’s delicious isn’t it?”

  2. Well, guess I’m not a COMPLETE idiot — I know the last one!!! GO ME!! Of course, I listen to it just about every single day!!! Got NO clue on any of the others, though!

    Great Thursday Thirteen!!!

  3. Oooops, forgot to say what movie #13 is from — why, it’s “The Phantom of the Opera,” of course! And those very words are sung by none other than Gerry Butler. *swoon*

  4. I am fairly good at movie quotes, but I don’t recognize any of these quotes. I can’t wait to see the answers. For #10, I’ll guess and say “The Princess Bride”.

  5. LOL, I love that line from Fletch!

  6. Some great quotes. I did this 2 weeks ago. I can still hear the piano keys from Ghostbusters with #1. #2 is easy with Star Wars. #7 is from Fletch and #8 sounds familiar but can’t place it. The rest I have no clue.

  7. Wow! You guys are good. I’ll confirm the ones guessed so far.

    #1 Ghostbusters
    #2 Star Wars
    #7 Fletch
    #9 Rocky Horror Picture Show
    #13 Phantom of the Opera

So that leaves 3-6, 8 and 10-12 open to guesses yet.

  8. #5 is from Caddyshack. Bill Murray (Carl) is telling a story to a caddy about when he was a pro jock for the Dalai Lama. Big hitter, the Lama. Lots of really great quotes from that movie.

#8, I believe, is from Stripes. Bill Murray again. If I remember correctly, the Aunt Jemima treatment involved a woman, a stove, and a spatula.

No Buckaroo Bonzai? Or was that the point of no return quote? I could really cheat and use the Internets and Googles, but that wouldn’t be fun, would it?

The point of no return quote reminded me of the movie, Point of No Return (Bridget Fonda – now there’s a Danger Gal movie…but since it was based on La Femme Nikita, maybe we shouldn’t give it as much credit.).

    But I digress…

  9. I know a few of them but I just wanted to say that YOU ROCK LISA!

    Happy TT!!

  10. I knew Berty would get some of these. 🙂

    So, here’s the tally:

    #1 Ghostbusters
    #2 Star Wars
    #5 Caddyshack
    #7 Fletch
    #8 Stripes
    #9 Rocky Horror Picture Show
    #13 Phantom of the Opera

Of course there’s one in there from Buckaroo! That’s all the hint I’m giving though. We’re left with #3, 4, 6, 10-12.

  11. Alrighty then. Here is the full list of answers:

    #1 Ghostbusters
    #2 Star Wars
    #3 Dogma
#4 Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back
    #5 Caddyshack
#6 The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai
    #7 Fletch
    #8 Stripes
    #9 Rocky Horror Picture Show
#10 Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
#11 Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the movie)
    #12 Stargate (the movie)

  12. You forgot: “There’s no crying in baseball!”

  13. How embarrassing! I don’t know any of them.

  14. FeeFiFoto, why that would be League of Their Own.

Nicholas, I admit a couple were a little esoteric. But #2 was supposed to be the gimme and hardly anyone knew it!

  15. I’m a huge Phantom of the Opera fan so I knew #13.

My favorite movie line? “Nobody puts Baby in a corner”
